Land Clearing and Grubbing

Land Clearing and Grubbing in Coeur d’Alene

A lot of North Idaho parcels come with timber on them. Lacosapreziosa clears trees, brush, and undergrowth, then grubs the stumps and roots below grade so the building footprint is clean down to mineral soil. We haul the debris off or mulch it on site, and we work lots across Coeur d’Alene and out toward Rathdrum and Hayden.

Why Grubbing Matters

Cutting the trees is only half the job. Roots and stumps left in the ground rot, leave voids, and cause a pad to settle unevenly after the house is up. Grubbing pulls that organic material out below the surface so structural fill and footings sit on stable ground. It is the step that separates a lot that is cleared from a lot that is actually build-ready.

Our Process

We flag what stays, then clear with an excavator and mulcher, grub the stumps and root balls, and separate the wood from the soil. Good topsoil is stripped and stockpiled for final grade, silt fence goes in where runoff wants to move, and the debris is chipped or hauled. What is left is an open, gradeable parcel ready for site prep.
